Quigley

Could you spare $5 to help this rejected Great Pyr?

Quigley was raised from 6 weeks old by a nice family.  Trouble started when he reached 6 months of age – suddenly he became a threat to the family’s older dog.  After Quigley was seriously injured twice in fights with his “brother”, the family realized that one of the dogs needed to find a new home – so Quigley ended up with our friends at Great Pyr Rescue of Atlanta.
We are sponsoring his rescue.

Please chip in and help raise $140 for Quigley’s expenses.

All donations go directly from Paypal to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!

Want to adopt Quigley? He is very sweet and well trained.  He is now in Atlanta - please contact GPRA at http://www.greatpyratlanta.com/

Eli

Could you give $5 to help save this boy’s life?

This is Eli. He ended up in a kill shelter in rural South Carolina, practically starved to death.  He had been abused by his owner and then dumped to get rid of him.  He has a deep scar across his muzzle – presumably from his owner tying his mouth shut to keep him from barking.

He ran out of time at the shelter, and, with our sponsorship, the Cherokee County Humane Society pulled him. If not for you and your wonderful support of these doomed dogs, he would be dead in that shelter already. Because of your donations, he will instead eventually find good homes.

Please chip in and help raise $125 to help pay for boarding, shots, etc. using the ChipIn.

All donations go directly from Paypal to the Cherokee County Humane Society, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!

SweeTart

Could you please chip in a few dollars for this lucky mom?

SweeTart is big Great Pyr with eight puppies.  This lady’s owners died when she was most vulnerable, leaving her and her eight pups defenseless.  They were all in real danger – no one wanted them, and shelters are death traps for little puppies with immature immune systems.  Luckily, our friends Linda, Mikie and Holly from Abandoned Pet Rescue, once again rose to the occasion and took them all to keep them out of the kill shelter.  (I will post the puppies soon – very cute!)

Abandoned Pet Rescue needs our help to pay for Momma’s care - please chip in and help raise $125 for her using the ChipIn.

All donations go directly from Paypal to Abandoned Pet Rescue, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!

Bijou

Could you please chip in $5 for this huge boy?

This is Bijou.  He represents a nightmare scenario – mine and maybe yours, too.  He was living a fine life until his owners died.  Unfortunately, his owners’ family didn’t want him and rather than acting honorably and finding a good home from him, they took the easy way out and dumped in at the local kill shelter.  As an owner surrender, he had no protection from being destroyed immediately.  Luckily, with our sponsorship, our friends at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston pulled him from the shelter before he could be put to sleep. Our sponsorship money will go toward his vet bills and other costs.

If something happens to my wife and I and all our kids and friends refuse to take responsibility for our cats and dogs, I pray that a rescue like GPRS will be there to save them!

Please chip in and help raise $140 for him using the ChipIn at www.doomeddogs.blogspot.com.

All donations go directly from Paypal to Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!

Madison

Could you spare $5 to help this poor stray?

Please ChipIn at
www.doomeddogs.blogspot.com

Madison is a big Great Pyr girl that somehow became a stray.  She hung around a neighborhood for about a month before someone managed to catch her.  Luckily, instead of bringing her a shelter, they called the great people at Great Pyr Rescue of Atlanta.  With our sponsorship, GPRA will care for her until a permanent home can be found.

All donations go directly from Paypal to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!

Bluesy

This is Bluesy, a beautiful Pit mix.  She was in a kill shelter in Georgia a couple of weeks ago and had one day to live when Ragenea Rand, our Doomed Dogs rescue coordinator, spotted her online.  Falling in love with Bluesy’s picture, Ragenea reached out to the rescue community to help save Bluesy, with our promise of sponsorship.  Our friends Linda, Mikie and Holly at Abandoned Pet Rescue agreed to take her in.  Bluesy was only in Linda’s care for a day before the next adoption event for APR.  In a rare bit of good luck, Bluesy was adopted at that event!  Ragenea made a big contribution to APR to help get Bluesy out of the shelter, but the rescue doesn’t need any more sponsorship because of the quick adoption!

Hurray for Bluesy!

Dandy

Could you pitch in to help this injured boy?

This poor guy is Dandy.  He was shot by an unknown evil person and managed to crawl to a stranger’s porch in rural Arkansas.  This man recognized Dandy as a Great Pyr and took the trouble to find National GP Rescue online and sent them an email:  “a great white showed up on my porch yesterday and was bleeding. I don't have money for a vet bill. If I can't get rid of him I will put him down. He's a good dog and seems really calm but I can't keep another. I currently have a broken leg so me moving him anywhere is out of the question. We live too far out for animal control to come get him/her. Let me know something asap please. He will not be alive tomorrow if I can't find a home today.”

NGPR and Doomed Dogs sprang into action!  Barbara Mattson of NGPR and our own rescue coordinator, Ragenea Rand, arranged with NGPR volunteers to have Dandy picked, transported to Little Rock, vetted and put into boarding over the course of last weekend!  Dandy is now safe, but needs our sponsorship to pay vet and boarding bills.

Please chip in and help raise $140 to help save him using the ChipIn.

All donations go directly from Paypal to the National Great Pyrenees Rescue, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!

Gunny

Could you spare $5 to help this reject?

Please ChipIn at
www.doomeddogs.blogspot.com

Gunny is a big Great Pyr boy that was dumped in a kill shelter by his owner.  The lame reason the man gave was that Gunny kept escaping his yard and the man didn’t want to pay to fix his fence.  Owner surrenders have a very short life expectancy in a crowded shelter – Gunny was lucky to last a day.  Our friends at Great Pyr Rescue of Houston stepped up and, with our sponsorship, will make sure that Gunny gets a family upgrade to some people that would love and care for him.

All donations go directly from Paypal to Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!

Choice

This is Choice.  She ended up in a kill shelter in rural South Carolina at only 6 weeks old.  She only was given a short time to be adopted and then she was scheduled to die – unfortunately, cute as she is, this shelter does not get many visitors and no one picked her.  Her time was up a few days ago.

The Cherokee County Humane Society asked us to help her and a group of seven others that were about to be put down. Based on our agreement to sponsor them, the Humane Society agreed to pull them and board them temporarily while they try to find rescue organizations to help them.

Great news!  The Humane Society found rescues to take all the dogs!  Since they found the rescues right away, they don't even need for us to contribute - best of all worlds!

If not for you and your wonderful support of these doomed dogs, these dogs would be dead in that shelter already. Because of your donations which support our ability to commit to sponsorships, they will instead eventually find good homes.

Bailey

Could you give $5 to help save this huge girl's life?

This is Bailey, a Great Pyr – St. Bernard mix.  She ended up in a kill shelter in Texas (we’ve heard that story before too many times).  She is a sick girl, with worms and a respiratory infection and she is heartworm positive.   Before she could be killed or succumb to her various medical problems, she was rescued by St. Cloud’s.  We are sponsoring her rescue – they will nurse her back to health.

Please chip in and help raise $125 to help pay for her vet bills using the ChipIn.

All donations go directly from Paypal to the St. Cloud’s Rescue, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!

Clancey

Could you give $5 to help save this puppy’s life?

This Beagle puppy is Clancey. He ended up in a kill shelter in rural South Carolina.  He waited and waited but no one wanted to adopt him.  His time ran out last week, but the shelter manager gave him a little more time – until February 28.  On February 26, a rescue was interesting in taking him, but didn’t have the necessary funds.

We promised to sponsor – and the Cherokee County Humane Society will pull him tomorrow, the 28th!  Cherokee will hold him until the rescue picks him up. If not for you and your wonderful record of support of these doomed dogs for Cherokee, he would be dead in that shelter already. Because of your donations our promise of sponsorship is as good as gold and Clarence will instead eventually find a good home.

Please chip in and help raise $125 to help pay for boarding, shots, etc. using the ChipIn at www.doomeddogs.blogspot.com.

Maddy

Could you spare $5 to help this older, "returned" girl?

Maddy looks like a happy girl in this picture - and maybe she was.  She had been adopted and was living in a nice house.  But it was all an illusion.  Things didn't work out at this lovely house for her - her owners "returned" her to the rescue they got her from.  So now she is six years old and has no place to go.  The great people at Great Pyr Rescue of Atlanta are teaming up with another Atlanta rescue to help her.  They now have her in boarding - which is both expensive and not very fun for her.

We are sponsoring her, because boarding eats up money a very rapid rate!  Sometimes boarding (and people willing to pay for it) is the only was to keep a dog out of a kill shelter...

Please chip in and help raise $140 for Maddy's expenses using the ChipIn at www.doomeddogs.blogspot.com

All donations go directly from Paypal to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!

Tool Boy

Could you please chip in $5 for this big boy?

This sweet guy doesn't have a real name yet (they are calling him "Tool Boy"), since he comes from the Tool shelter.  He was another beautiful Pyr abandoned and left to die at a Texas kill shelter. With our sponsorship, our friends at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston pulled him from the shelter before he could be put to sleep. Our sponsorship money will go toward his vet bills and other costs.

Please chip in and help raise $140 for him using the ChipIn.

We can to name him - the first donation of $40 or more can pick out a real name for Tool Boy!

All donations go directly from Paypal to Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!

Cabot

Could you pitch in to help this mangy stray?

This poor guy is Cabot.  Here’s his story from our rescue angel, Carolyn Jordan: “Cattle mutt, most likely ASD (heeler), first described as aged.  He is not, vet says pup under 1 yr. Was abandoned along remote blacktop road …Sat in one spot, never moving more than 3 feet either way, for 4 days/nights…
Dozens of people drove past him & reported it to local country store (Redbank Country Store).  No one would pick him up due to severe mange.  Which is why he was dumped, no doubt.
Even the local who brought him to me, asked if we were going  to have him euth'd.  I assured him we would not, that mange is very treatable.  Mange (like HW disease) is a death sentence here to the locals.”  We are sponsoring Carolyn’s effort to save this boy, who she says is very sweet.

Please chip in and help raise $140 to help save him using the ChipIn.

All donations go directly from Paypal to the National Great Pyrenees Rescue, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!

Sam

Could you give $5 to help save Sam?

This is Sam, a big Pyr mix at shelter in East Tennessee (near  where Davy Crockett and yours truly grew up).  He has a leg fractured in three places and a fractured pelvis.  He is being rescued by our friends at National Great Pyr Rescue.  He will be getting very expensive surgery before being flown to the Northeast to a foster home.  We are sponsoring the costs of boarding him while he heals up enough to be able to fly.

Please chip in and help raise $140 to help pay for his boarding bills.

All donations go directly from Paypal to the National Great Pyrenees Rescue, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!

Blue Lady

Could you chip in $5 to help save this poor girl?

This is Blue, a badly injured Chow who was in the kill shelter in Carson, CA.  Lucky for her, Bonnie Schumaker of the  Wings of Care scooped her up (well, I think she really had to come out on a gurney)!  We are sponsoring the $100 fee that Bonnie had to pay to take her from shelter plus another $50 to help with her vet bills.  Wings of Care will make sure she goes to a good home.

All donations go directly from Paypal to Wings of Care, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible.

Ozark

Could you please chip in $5 to help this little giant?

This handsome Saint mix is Ozark. He was dumped on a county road in rural Missouri.  He stuck around in the same spot for a few days, waiting for his heartless owner to come back.  Maybe a breeder that couldn't sell him?  Lucky for him, a kind person picked him up and brought him to rescue angel Carolyn Jordan at Bear Creek Rescue.  We agreed to sponsor the little guy to pay for his upkeep and vet bills while Carolyn finds him a new home.

Please chip in and help raise $125 for him using the ChipIn.

This is Dawson. He is a terrier mix that has had a hard time of it lately. He ended up in a kill shelter in Texas with a respiratory infection, worms galore and little hope for a better future.
