Jackie's Baby

Please help save Jackie's baby!

When animal control picked up Jackie (the big Pyr we sponsored last week), she wasn't alone.  She was taking care of this little guy.  Is he her puppy?  No one knows.  Looking at their pictures, it is a little hard to imagine!

Anyway, if he is not her pup, how did she come to adopt him?

Like Jackie, the puppy ended up in a no-adoption kill shelter.  The only way out of that shelter is for a dog to be claimed by his owner or be rescued by a rescue - they have no facilities for adoption.

Since the puppy's owner never showed up, he was doomed to be executed.  Luckily, when our friends at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston were there to pick up Jackie (thanks to you all for sponsoring her!), they found out about him and couldn't leave him to die.  They asked us for our help to be able to take him out.  Of course we agreed to sponsor him.

Our sponsorship money will go toward vet bills and other costs of fostering him until a permanent home can be found.

All donations go directly from Paypal to Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!

If you are interested in adopting, please contact GPRS athttp://www.gprescuesociety.org/

Mora

Could you spare $5 for a needy gyrl?

What a sad sight!  Mora was picked up by animal control in rural Texas, brought to a kill shelter and waited in vain for someone to claim her or rescue her.

Big, grown-up dogs like her are not very adoptable, so crowded shelters do not hold them for long.  The situation was very grim for her.

Our  friends at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston are taking her with our sponsorship.  They will  get her vetted and put her in a foster home while they look for a good permanent home for her.

Our sponsorship money will go toward vet bills and other costs of fostering her until a permanent home can be found.

Puppy Transport!

An email from Connie:

Hi Michael and Friends,

Once more we are in need. A lot  of puppies with no home.  This is from Shana, a rescue that is overwhelmed. I am giving her dog food this week.

We can transport next week, toward the end of the week.

So, just sharing this video and the need.

Thank you and all for the donation for the van. Without that we could not have transported to Chicago.

I will be thanking everyone for this donation, with pictures of the event.

Connie and Dave

Connie and Dave regularly drive around and pick up doomed dogs from shelters in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri. These dogs would likely be put to sleep if not for them. Your donations literally make the difference as to whether there is enough gas money for these trips to happen or not and whether these dogs live or die- thanks for your support!

All donations go directly from Paypal to Save Our Strays, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible.

Tyler

Could you please chip in $5 to help save a blind baby?

This beautiful Great Pyrenees puppy is Tyler.  We are helping our friends at Lone Star Pyrs and Paws rescue him and his brother from terrible squalor - when found, they all had fleas so bad that two of the litter died.

Although he is blind and will be hard to place, Lone Star will save him and eventually find him a good home.  We are sponsoring part of the cost to make it possible.

Our sponsorship money will go toward vet bills and other costs of fostering him until a permanent home can be found.

All donations go directly from Paypal to Lone Star Pyrs and Paws, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!

Jackie

Please help save Jackie!

This is a picture of a doomed dog.  She was picked up as a stray and had the bad luck to end up in a no-adoption kill shelter.  The only way out of that shelter is for a dog to be claimed by her owner or be rescued by a rescue - they have no facilities for adoption.

Since Jackie's owner never showed up, she was doomed to be executed next week.  Since very few rescues can handle a big Great Pyr in Texas, her chances were very bad.

Luckily, our friends at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston found out about her and asked us for our help to be able to take her out.  Of course we agreed to sponsor her.   GPRS will pull her from the shelter tomorrow, get her vetted and put her in a foster home while they look for a good permanent home for her.

Our sponsorship money will go toward vet bills and other costs of fostering her until a permanent home can be found.

Polar Bear

Could you give $5 to save this poor boy?

Please chip in!

This big boy is Polar Bear.  He looks like he is part Saint, but what are the other parts?  Anyway, he is one very big dog!

He was in a kill shelter in Texas.  He was practically unadoptable because of his great size, and also because of a problem with one of his eyes requiring surgery.

Our rescue partners, Rosie and Gisela at St. Cloud’s, stepped up to save him with our sponsorship.  Rosie and Gisela  need our help to pay for the surgery and other medial costs.  Polar Bear is now at St. Clouds.

Please chip in and help raise $160 for him using the ChipIn.

All donations go directly from Paypal to St. Cloud's Rescue, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!

If you are interested in adopting, please contact St. Clouds at http://stcloudsrescue.org/
