Teddy
Teddy is an absolutely gorgeous Pyr/Akbash. He was picked up as a stray and ended up in a tiny kill shelter in Texas. He had only 3 days to live, because the shelter had only two kennels! Someone sent his picture to National Akbash Rescue and Janet Davis swung into action, arranging for us to sponsor him, and transport for him to a vet. He turned out to be heartworm positive (the financial kiss of death to a rescue - it costs around $800 to treat). Janet arranged for his medical treatment, found a foster and eventually he was adopted!
