Ragenea Rand, our rescue coordinator, found this doomed dog online and has been scrambling to find a rescue to take him. He is scheduled to be destroyed on Monday. Unfortunately, our rescue contacts are way overextended and no one could help. Finally, our friends at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston agreed to take him. However, they have no place to put him.
So we agreed to try to raise the $300 needed to board him until a foster home becomes available. It's not a total solution, but if we can raise the money, Claiburne will stay alive. As you know, this kind of emergency fundraising is not the way we usually do things, but we couldn't bear to see this boy be put to sleep...
