Please help save Jackie!
This is a picture of a doomed dog. She was picked up as a stray and had the bad luck to end up in a no-adoption kill shelter. The only way out of that shelter is for a dog to be claimed by her owner or be rescued by a rescue - they have no facilities for adoption.
Since Jackie's owner never showed up, she was doomed to be executed next week. Since very few rescues can handle a big Great Pyr in Texas, her chances were very bad.
Luckily, our friends at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston found out about her and asked us for our help to be able to take her out. Of course we agreed to sponsor her. GPRS will pull her from the shelter tomorrow, get her vetted and put her in a foster home while they look for a good permanent home for her.
Our sponsorship money will go toward vet bills and other costs of fostering her until a permanent home can be found.
