This poor girl is Daisy. Terribly abused, Daisy was in a kill shelter in Texas. She is in such bad shape that she was not even available for adoption. Instead, her only possible hope was for a rescue to take her before the shelter put her to sleep. With a respiratory tract infection and a horrible case of mange, she was not an attractive candidate for a rescue to take her.When our friends from Great Pyrenees Rescue of Houston saw her she was very, very frightened - see how she is backed up into the corner. Who could blame her? The only way a dog gets into this awful condition is mistreatment by humans.
