Samson

This 7 year old Great Pyrenees was deserted by his heartless owners for being afraid of storms.  Could you show him some kindness by donating $5?

Please ChipIn at
www.doomeddogs.blogspot.com

Samson was dumped at a kill shelter in Alabama by his owners because he was frightened by storms. As you know, owner surrenders have very little time in kill shelters because state law does not protect them.  They can literally be killed 10 minutes after arrival.

The shelter contacted our friends at Great Pyr Rescue of Atlanta.  With our sponsorship, GPRA agreed to take him to save his life.  Our sponsorship will help them to afford to vet and foster him.

Edith

Could you spare $5 to help this sweet gyrl?

Please ChipIn!

Edith is a beautiful Great Pyr puppy.  Her family ran into hard financial times.  Because they couldn't afford to keep her, they left her at their vet's.  The vet couldn't find her a home.

Fortunately, they thought of calling  Great Pyrenees Rescue Atlanta.  Although they are very, very full, GPRA stepped up to take her in, with our sponsorship.  Our donations will help them to afford to vet and foster her.

Blind puppy

Could you please chip in $5 for this poor little baby?

Please chip in!

This little Great Pyr pup was born blind.  His owner decided that his blindness was too much to deal with and so planned to shoot him.  He was only 6 weeks old.  Our friends at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston stepped in and took him rather than see him put down. Our sponsorship money will go toward vet bills and other costs of fostering him.

Achilles

Could you please chip in to help this big boy?

This is gorgeous giant is Achilles.  He was a victim in an animal neglect case and ended up in a shelter.  Unfortunately, no one wanted to adopt him and he stayed there for months.   His future was not good - he faced being put to sleep.  Lucky for him, with our sponsorship, National Akbash Rescue and National Anatolian Shepherd Rescue teamed up to rescue him from the shelter!

Please chip in and help raise $140 for him using the ChipIn.  Our sponsorship helps the rescues pay the cost of keeping him until they can find him a good home.

All donations go directly from Paypal to National Anatolian Shepherd Rescue, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can help save this one and many more!

Sampson

Could you please chip in $5 to help this tattered boy?

Sampson's story is written all over him.  Mange and starvation have made this Great Pyr into a skinny ghost of the big fluffy dog he should be.  With our sponsorship, Carolyn Jordan stepped in to save his life.  He is being treated for the mange and finally getting enough food to eat, so eventually he will be OK.  Our sponsorship will pay part of his medical and fostering costs.

Please chip in to support the costs of his recovery and to support Carolyn's great work.

Aussie

Could you please make a small donation to help save this adorable puppy?

This poor girl was stuck in an Alabama kill shelter at 8 weeks of age.  Kill shelters are very dangerous for puppies, as their immature immune systems cannot cope with many of the deadly diseases there.  Our friends Shari Drube and Lonestar Pys & Paws agreed to rescue her. We agreed to sponsor the little guys to help pay for vetting and transport to safety.

Lonestar needs our help! Please chip to help save her!

All donations go directly from Paypal to Lonestar Pyrs & Paws North, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save these puppies and many more!

Thank you so much for contributing. Your donations are having a big impact - our Club has helped to save over 300 dogs from kill shelters in the last few months!

Lady

Could you please chip in $5 for this poor girl?

Please chip in!

This little Lady was a homeless stray in rural Texas.  She was picked up by animal control and brought to a kill shelter.  As you can see from the picture, she was very frightened and stressed at the shelter.  No one wanted to adopt her, so she was scheduled to be killed.

Luckily, on the very last day, a shelter volunteer thought to call our friends at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston.  They scrambled to find a foster home and took her out at the last minute!   Our sponsorship money will go toward vet bills and other costs of foster.

Shiloh

Could you spare $5 to help this gyrl?

Please ChipIn at
www.doomeddogs.blogspot.com

Shiloh may look in the picture like a Labrador Retreiver - but that's because she has never gotten enough food.  She is actually an emaciated Great Pyrenees.  She ended up as a stray in rural Tennessee, living by her wits and on the kindness of strangers.

She was picked up by animal control and brought to a kill shelter.   Her time ran out.

Luckily, our rescue coordinator, Ragenea Rand, found her online.  With the help of several members of our Club, Ragenea convassed rescue groups to take her.  Finally, Great Pyrenees Rescue Atlanta agreed to take her, with our sponsorship.  Ragenea arranged transport and Shiloh escaped from the shelter in the nick of time!  Our sponsorship is helping GPRA to afford to vet and foster her.

Please support the selfless work of Ragenea and the other members of our Club by chipping in to help save Shiloh - even $5 means a lot, since we have over 1,500 members, small donations can add up fast!

Hope for 65 Dogs

Our friends Connie and Dave are planning another trip on Wednesday. This time it is a trip from Oklahoma to Washington bring at least 65 doomed dogs and puppies to safety.  Our $350 sponsorship is about $5.38 a dog - it can be so cheap to save a puppy's life!

Here’s the plan from Connie:

I don't know if you all can help, but this is a huge, huge transport for us. There are 3 moms and puppies going, plus 25 other puppies, then the rest are bigger dogs.

We will be leaving next Wednesday night. We are taking 2 vans. The trip is 2400 miles. We plan on getting there on Friday, getting a good night's rest. Most of the puppies will go to the adoption event the next day. Several of the bigger dogs have already been adopted.

We truly are asking for prayers and any other kind of help possible.

Thank you,

Connie and David

Connie and Dave regularly drive around and pick up doomed dogs from shelters in Oklahoma and Missouri. These dogs would likely be put to sleep if not for them.  Your donations literally make the difference as to whether there is enough gas money for these trips to happen or not and whether these dogs live or die- thanks for your support!

Rescue Transport Trip - 32 Dogs

Could you chip in to support a rescue trip to save 32 dogs? Each $6.25 donation helps save a life!

Please chip in at www.doomeddogs.blogspot.com.

We are sponsoring another trip by our friends Connie and Dave. This time it is a trip from Oklahoma to bring at 32 doomed dogs and puppies to safety in Chicago.  With all the tornado and flood problems, they were not able to arrange for our donations before they went.  The total bill for gas was $480.  I pledged that we would sponsor $200 of that - about $6.25 a dog - it can be so cheap to save a puppy's life!

Lady

Could you please chip in $5 to help this sick gyrl?

Please use our ChipIn at

www.doomeddogs.blogspot.com

This pretty girl is Lady, a Great Pyrenees with heartworms.  As you know, heartworms can be very expensive to treat.  So Lady didn't have much hope when she was stuck in a kill shelter in Oklahoma.  Who would ever rescue or adopt a big girl with heartworms?

Lucky for her, GP Rescue of Oklahoma, an affiliate of National GP Rescue, stepped up to take her.  They asked us to sponsor part of Lady's medical costs.

So if you love big, fluffy dogs and you hate slimy, parasitic killer worms, please chip in to pay for the medicine to kill off those unwelcome parasites in this sweet girl's heart!

Thanks!
