Could you spare $5 to save Jessie?This emaciated Akita girl was picked up as a stray along with her Malamute boy pal, who was in equally starved condition. They ended up in a kill shelter in rural California. A sled dog rescue took the Malamute but left this girl behind, crying for her boyfriend when they took him away. Sad, to say the least.
Jessie is young, but in a lot of trouble. She needs to be rescued before she is killed and then needs to be vetted to see if she has just been starved and abused or she has serious medical problems that have caused her present skeletal condition.
Our friends at the Niko Rescue Foundation have asked for us to sponsor Jessie so they can afford to take her. With our sponsorship, they will take her out of the shelter and get her to a vet. Eventually, they will find her a good home!
