Eddie - Hall County Boy

Could you please chip in to help this doomed boy?

Our ChipIn is at www.doomeddogs.blogspot.com

This beautiful Great Pyrenees doesn't have a name.  He doesn't have much of a life, either.  He ended up in rural Georgia in a kill shelter.  They were going to kill him yesterday.  Rageana and I tried to get every potential rescue we know to help him.  They all were too full - every single one.  So he was going to die yesterday.

The Doomed Dogs Rescue Club is a Club, not a rescue.  We help rescues save dogs - we don't actually pull them from shelters and foster them and find them homes.  So what could we do?

We couldn't stand to let him die, so we did something we have never done before.  Doomed Dogs Rescue Club took full responsibility for him.  We asked our friends Linda, Mikie and Holly at TenderHearts Rescue and Abandoned Pet Rescue to take him out of the shelter and put him in boarding.  They agreed, but they are so full they cannot take him into their rescues.  He will remain our dog and he will be in boarding.  He is heartworm positive, so we asked them to start his treatment.  We are going to pay for everything and it may run $300-$400 or more.

We don't have much of a plan except that if he is in boarding, then he will be still breathing - better than the alternative.  Hopefully, in time, we can find a rescue to take him.

Please help us save him - our Club is the only thing keeping him alive!

All donations go to Abandoned Pet Rescue, a 501(c)(3) charity and are tax deductible.  APR will pay his boarding and vet bills out of the money we send them.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting this big guy, he is in Georgia and we would love to hear from you!

Thanks - and if you have any good ideas for names, please let us know on our update page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Help-Save-Doomed-Dogs-from-Kill-Shelters/186358488058554
