Bailey

Update:  We raised the money we pledged to pay part of his vet bill.  Bailey is now recovering and living with a foster family in Houston.  We recieved this note from GPRS:
Thank you to everyone that donated to Dolly & Bailey!
Dolly is being sprung from the shelter today! She will be on her way to a new life where she will not have to worry about being cast off. She should be in a foster home soon and we will keep you updated.
Bailey is doing much better and will be released from the vet on Saturday where one of our volunteers will pick him up and get him to Houston. We have been told that despite the cruelty that was put upon him he still loves people and loves to give kisses!
On behalf of GPRS and the dogs, THANK YOU and HAPPY HOLIDAYS! You have given them the best gift of all. LIFE!.

This is Bailey. He was in a kill shelter in Dallas for a few days and his hold ran out yesterday. He has a horrible wound on his neck, probably from a rope and a sadistic or criminally negligent owner. I don't want this page to turn into a horror show, so I won't paste the photo here, but if you want to see it, you can here:

They were going to kill him today. With no time to waste and with the whole uncertainty around Chance fresh in my mind, I committed us to sponsor him. The Great Pyrenees Rescue Society (GPRS) pulled him today. He is now safe at a vet in Dallas and will soon be on his way to Houston.

GPRS is the group that is taking Dolly, the Pyr we just donated to. They are a wonderful Pyr group that saves a lot of Great Pyrenees.

I promised our help and GPRS needs it to pay for Bailey's vet bill and to transport him to Houston.

So please help pay to save Bailey and get him fixed up!

We need $125 in donations - it won't pay his whole vet bill, but it will help a lot.

Please make a tax-deductible donation of $5-$25 in his name to GPRS at their website at http://www.greatpyreneesrescuesociety.org/
Donations can be made by check, Paypal or credit card. If you do donate, please comment below so we can keep track.

Thanks for your help - together we can save a lot of precious lives!
