Abbey was a stray that was taken in by some people. She was pregnant. After she weaned her pups, they decided that they had no more use for her. They kept her pups to sell, and put her in the "night drop" at the kill shelter in the middle of the night with a note attached to her.
I hear a lot of awful stories, but this one is particularly shocking. Anyway, Abbey was taken out in time by our friends at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston, who requested our assistance.
