This is Arlee, a gorgeous young Pyr mix. He was another of the hundreds or thousands of Great Pyrenees dogs that became strays in Texas the last couple of years. Life as a stray is very dangerous and stressful for dogs. Arlee was picked up by animal control. He went into a kill shelter and there was no interest in adopting him and no rescues came forward for him. He was scheduled to be killed. On the very last day, with our sponsorship, our friends at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston pulled him from the shelter!
Our sponsorship dollars will go toward their costs to rescue him and help enable them to save the next dog.
