Sophie

Could you spare $5 to help an old sweetie?

Sophie is a wonderful Great Pyr, 12 years young. She and her sister belonged to a couple in their 70’s, one of whom developed cancer. Their owners felt that they couldn’t care for the two girls, and so, off to the kill shelter they went. I am sure it was a difficult decision for two people in a difficult position – but it really is awful for the dogs.

At that point, Sophie’s chances of living another week were pretty slim. However, some people in our Club stirred up some interest in the gyrls. 12-year-old dogs have almost no chance of being adopted from a shelter, and not much chance of being adopted from a rescue. Nonetheless, the girls found an angel in Candi Bright with Gentle Giants Rescue. Candi agreed to take them, knowing full well that they would probably stay in foster care until they pass away. We are sponsoring Sophie to help with the costs of rescue.

So if you believe in cherishing old dogs rather than throwing them out, and you believe in supporting angels on earth when you run into them, please contribute to save Sophie!

Please help us raise the $160 we need to help save Sophie using the ChipIn.

All donations go directly from Paypal to Gentle Giants, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!
