This is Dash, a pure-bred Great Pyrenees, in a kill shelter in KY. He is due to be killed on Friday. Pyr rescue legend (and Doomed Dogs member!) Sue Carlin is arranging to take him out of the shelter tomorrow. Sue asked for our help to pay for some of the cost.Dash has literally been starved - I would guess that he is 30-40 pounds underweight - much like Corine, the Pyr we sponsored with GPRA last month (go back in our pages and see her photo - a nightmare; if you shaved Dash, I think he would be the same). This boy has been treated very, very badly, but we have a chance to help get him to a better life!
Sue is confident that when she gets him to MA next week, it will be easy to find a good, permanent home for Dash.
Could you please pledge $5-$25 to help Sue save Dash? I told her I thought we could do $125.
We don't have a rescue to donate to yet, so please just pledge. Sue will line up a rescue later tonight or tomorrow to work with her on saving him, but in any event she will arrange for Dash to get out of that kill shelter tomorrow and into boarding.
