Could you spare $5 to save Mesquite?
This smart boy was saved from the shelter on the day he was to be put down. He got lost (or was more likely abandoned) in a park by his former owner thinking some nice person would take him in; well, this boy found an elderly couple out for a stroll in the park, walking along with them as if he belonged. Unfortunately, they could not care for him, so he had to be placed in the shelter. Our friends at Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston got this email: “Subject: Mesquite Animal Control: Mixed Pyr - this guy is going down in the morning before they open if we don't get word to them beforehand...can anyone save this extra nice nice dog? He has been there so long, they are going to put him down in the morning BUT WE CAN GET WORD TO THEM before 8 am.”
They scrambled and got him out just in time!
Mesquite is extremely nice and apparently well trained. Can you help the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society raise the $150 necessary for his rescue costs and to help find a permanent walking partner for this beautiful pup?
