Would you give $5 to help this handsome boy?
This big boy is Joseph. He was a wary stray, staying in one neighborhood in Alabama, foraging off scraps and roadkill for almost a year. He was too afraid of humans to be tamed. Finally, a Pyr-owning couple were able to catch him, using a hot dog as bait. They took him to a kill shelter, because their male Pyr is dog aggressive to other males. When his stray hold time was up, rescue angel Shari Drube (Lonestar Pyrs & Paws) took him so he wouldn’t be killed. We agreed to sponsor him so the rescue could afford to take him. Joe is very thin from being a stray, but he is recovering from his fear of humans and should make a fine pet.
