Kern County Puppy
Would you give $5 to help this sweet puppy?
This gorgeous but scared 4-month old puppy was found as a stray in the San Joaquin Valley in California. She was brought to the local kill shelter and this picture was posted on Petharbor. Look at the picture and you will see that her legs and lower body are covered in blood. Luckily, it doesn’t seem to be her blood. The people at the shelter are so uncaring about the animals that they didn’t seem to have noticed it when they took her in and when she had her picture taken. Unbelievable. When our friend, Janet Davis at National Akbash Rescue, spotted her online and called to ask about the blood, the shelter clammed up and wouldn’t say anything. Right away they switched the picture to a new one in which she is cleaned up. How did she end up in a kill shelter covered in blood? We don’t know – but there can’t be a good reason.
Janet asked the Doomed Dogs to sponsor her and we agreed. The Niko Foundation Rescue agreed to take her from the shelter. The pup is sick with kennel cough and has some intestinal issues, but those should be solvable.
We have the honor of naming her – the first person to donate $40 or more can give this cutie a name!
Please help us raise the $140 we need to help save her using the ChipIn.
All donations go directly from Paypal to Niko Foundation Rescue, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save this one and many more!
