Sheila "22"

Could you donate $5 to save this poor baby?

Imagine being shot in the head, execution style, by the person who calls himself your caretaker and protector and being left to die. Sheila "22" (for the caliber of the bullet that went through her head) was found by animal control wandering around and bleeding from the bullet wound near the local meat market. She ended up in the local kill shelter. Miraculously though, Sheila beat the odds and survived the gunshot!

We spotted her online (DDRC volunteer Ragenea Thompson Rand uses a computer program to search for new Pyrs and Akbashes in shelters everyday). Ragenea alerted our good friends at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society of Houston, who immediately called the shelter and, relying on our sponsorship, pulled Sheila safely into rescue. She looks to be a Pyr-Australian cattle dog mix and is very friendly, even after what she has been through.

Please help us raise the $160 we need to help save this sweet girl using the ChipIn.

All donations go directly from Paypal to the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can save Sheila and many more!

Thank you so much for contributing. Your donations are having a big impact - our Club has helped to save over 90 dogs from kill shelters in the last few months!
