Montauk
Could you donate $5 to save this poor guy?
Last week, we asked Carolyn Jordan at Bear Creek Rescue if she could shoe-horn in one more Pyr from a kill shelter in Missouri. She agreed even though Bear Creek is overfull, because that's the kind of person she is. Here’s what she had to say after she picked him up:
“Springfield shelter boy "Montauk" is so very thin. He's actually a large boned, long, tall dog. With protruding bones. And quite a nasty mess, long term neglect. If not for the hair, he'd look like a Chernobyl survivor. He's heartbreakingly sweet. He's a Pyr paw guy. We drove home in 4WD on solid ice with his face in my face, his paw on my shoulder or on top of my head. Almost home he laid down finally & put his big stinky head in my lap. Had to take 3/4 T truck due to roads. He would not stay in back seat. Would not stay on his side in the front, even tethered. He smells so badly, but he only wanted to snuggle, so that's the way we came home, LOL.
He's going to vet early tomorrow for work up. He may not be a candidate for neuter just yet. Blood work first. He's had vacs & flea treatment, tomorrow we get out the big gun testing & see where we are.”
Please help us raise $160 to help Carolyn save Montauk.
All donations go directly from Paypal to National Great Pyrenees Rescue, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are tax-deductible. Please chip in - together we can help save this one and many more!
